Steven Wingate is the author of three titles in the University of Nebraska Press Flyover Fiction Series: the short story collection Mercy and Debris (March 2027) and the novels The Leave-Takers (2021) and Of Fathers and Fire (2019), as well as the collection Wifeshopping (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2008). He has presented his creative work—including his digital lyric memoir daddylabyrinth—around the globe in venues ranging from Oxford University to the Singapore Art/Science Museum. His thirty-year teaching career included stints at South Dakota State University, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and the College of the Holy Cross.
