Submissions

Please send queries and pitches directly to Ed Simon (esimon@andrew.cmu.edu). Do not use the submission portal during the summer of 2026. Pitches should specify whether you are submitting an essay, review, interview, or excerpt for consideration. In a short paragraph please describe your potential piece, as well as providing background on yourself as an author. Generally, word count for final articles will be in the 2,000-word range, though we are happy to consider exceptions in either direction. Pitches are preferred over completed pieces, but the latter will be considered. Simultaneous submissions are welcome. If you have not heard back from us after four weeks, please consider that to be a pass. If you’re interested in submitting to Object Lessons Impressions, please use the portal linked here.
